SKIPTON Golf Club welcomed more than 50 golfers for a day of golf, raising £4,530 for the charity, Dementia Forward.
Those taking part were treated to bacon sandwiches, before setting off with a 'shot-gun start' to play 18 holes before lunch.
Seeing as it was a warm day, golfers were grateful for the donations of drinks and refreshments from Skipton Morrison's Supermarket to keep them energised.
The day included a two-course lunch and finished with a raffle, with prizes including dinner for two at Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate; tickets for next month's Great Yorkshire Dales Proms in Skipton, and a family trip to the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway.
Dementia Forward thanks sponsors; Kirby Thomas, Promedica24, Crush and Go, everyone who donated raffle prizes, all the teams who came along to support the event, and Skipton Golf Club.
Dementia Forward runs a weekly wellbeing café at Trinity Methodist in Skipton, Wednesdays from 1pm to 3pm, and a day service in Gargrave on a Tuesday. To find out more, call the helpline on 03300 578592.
