ORGANISERS of a weekly wellbeing cafe in Settle are holding an open day on Tuesday May 21 to mark the end of next week's dementia action week.
The free event at Settle St John's Methodist Church will be an opportunity for people to meet the team, take part in activities and taste some of the delicious home-baking from the volunteers.
There will also be an opportunity to chat to the team from The Place in Settle and find out about the support services available in the area.
The event will take place at the church, in Church Street, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, there is no need to book.
Dementia is a set of symptoms caused by diseases of the brain. There are more than 100 different types of dementia, and Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common one. The symptoms of dementia may include memory loss, confusion and difficulty concentrating.
