SOAMES Michael John Peacefully at home on October 25, 2017, formerly of Settle, latterly resident in Cheshire. Eldest son of the late Freda and Derek Soames of Marshfield Road, Settle. The Funeral will take place at St. Thomas and All Saints Church, Ellesmere Port, on Tuesday, November 7, at 12:00 noon. Cruelly and unexpectedly taken by cancer, Michael is survived by his wife of 37 years Yvonne, sons Mark and Paul, daughters-in-law, Sarah and Louise, grandchildren James, Megan and Amber and his four brothers and sisters. His illness and death have taken his body but his spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Hospice of the Good Shepherd (Backford), 6th Ellesmere Port Scout Group and Friends of the Settle Carlisle. Enquiries to 01244 319595.
