A NEW fitness and martial arts centre will open its doors to the public on Saturday.
Based at Hardings Lane, Skipton Road, Cross Hills, Vision Fitness and Martial Arts Centre is the brainchild of Michael and Debbie Gridley.
The centre will be split into three areas - weight room, cardio room and martial arts area - and will cater for all forms of weight training and cardio.
And visitors can look around the facilities between 10am and 2pm.
There will be various classes, including sport karate, boxing (ABA affiliated), wrestling, grappling, extreme fitness and kettlebell and personnel trainer John Burnet will be on hand to give guidance on training techniques and nutrition. There will also be two karate demonstrations.
The martial arts area will be run by former karate world champion and assistant England team coach Paul Newby , with assistance from his partner, Siobhan Hayes, who is a karate champion and world karate competitor. Frank Pullano is assistant coach and Lawrence Neil will be the grappling coach.
Children can start karate from the age of four.
