A SKIPTON card shop has reached the finals of a competition to find the best new greetings cards retailer in the North of England.
Cool! Cards and Gifts, of Coach Street, will have to wait until July 8 to find out whether it has taken top honours.
The competition is organised by Progressive Greetings magazine and is the greetings card industry’s equivalent of the Oscars.
Cool! proprietor Tina Botterill said: “We have been trading in Coach Street Skipton for 15 months and feel very much a part of this exciting and vibrant town. Small independent shops are such an important part of the town’s infrastructure, helping to give it the unique character that attracts visitors.
"We try hard to source products that are different from those in other shops, and we welcome products made locally.”
The overall winner will be announced at an award lunch at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London.
