A DINNER hosted by a celebrity TV chef is helping to boost the business of one of the Dales' most renowned restaurants and hotels.

Edinburgh-based Mark Greenaway, who has appeared regularly on programmes the BBC's Great British Menu and Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, is to present the special five-course meal at Grassington House on Monday, February 22.

The evening is part of a new calendar of events for Grassington House, which has also seen a new logo unveiled by owners John and Sue Rudden.

They have dropped the 'hotel' from the name and, says Sue, they are "drawing on the character, charm and elegance of the traditional Georgian building. The nine rooms echo the same Grassington House twist of the restaurant, traditional and considered, with modern touches."

Sue explained: "John and I love this house and we have worked hard with our team over the years to nurture it, so that every guest and visitor who comes here can feel the same unique personality of this house that we do.

"We believe we are offering the finest escape for our guests, whether that’s just to eat, or to eat and stay, and everything we create is with this in mind. Here it’s a fine Yorkshire retreat, done the Grassington House way.”
