A CHARITY has teamed-up with a clothing giant to raise awareness of heart disease among women.
Heart Research UK and Damart, whose warehousing facility is at Steeton, aim to provide information and guidance on reducing risk factors.
And as part of the #LovingHearts campaign, a survey will be carried out to establish women's knowledge of heart health.
It's estimated that as much as 80 per cent of coronary disease is preventable.
Stopping smoking, eating a healthy diet and losing weight are among risk-reducing factors.
Ben Phillips, senior marketing manager at Damart, said: "We're thrilled to be teaming up with Heart Research UK, a charity we have supported for a number of years.
"It's a cause that really resonates with our largely female customer base, so we're optimistic that this partnership will strike a chord with shoppers."
During the initiative, which runs from next month until December, Damart will donate £4 to Heart Research UK for each of its three-in-one jackets sold.
