AN award winning "restaurant with rooms" is to celebrate its new look with a series of culinary events next year.

Grassington House hotel, which has two AA rosettes and is rated excellent on Trip Advisor, will be graced by stellar chefs Mark Greenaway and Aiden Byrne.

The re-design has been spearheaded by Sue Rudden, together with local interior designer Jo’anne Greenwood, from Swankies of Colne. Sue runs the restaurant with her husband John

“We are absolutely delighted with the result. The space feels lifted and in total harmony with the surrounding house.

"It’s the first time that we have had such a dramatic makeover since we opened in 2008, and it feels completely right for the unique character and nature of this building," said Sue.

The restaurant seats forty covers for lunch and dinner and regularly creates one-off events such as those lined up for the new year.

“I’m extremely excited about 2017. It feels like it should be a bright and promising year, " said chef John.

"We have worked hard to maintain high standards in the house and to generate new and interesting reasons for our guests to visit.

"Having two chefs of such high calibre and similar mindset to us in their approach to food, is really a testament to that."

Celebrated Scottish chef Mark Greenaway, a BBC Great British Menu contributor, will be at Grassington House on Monday, January 23, to create a five-course gourmet special

He will be working with the Grassington House team to present a gourmet guest dinner from his newly launched cookbook. A cookbook will be given to each pair of diners.
