A COMEDY night held at High Adventure Outdoor Education Centre in Cowling raised £3,300 for Parkinson’s UK.

The Skipton branch of the charity benefited from the evening of hilarity presented by professional comedians.

High Adventure director Tim Ferguson said it was a privilege for the centre to support Parkinson’s UK and raise awareness of the disease.

Skipton branch spokesman David Riley said: “We rarely receive such an outstanding donation, I keep telling everyone unbelievable it is, I’m just amazed, it’s brilliant.”

The comedy night was the second to be held at High Adventure, who have raised money for charities including Manorlands and Cancer Research UK.

The next comedy night will be on May 14 from 7pm to 10pm, featuring comedians Dan Nightingale, Brennan Reece, Katie Mulgrew and Rob Rouse.
