STAFF from Miller Homes – which is currently building the Airedale Lea development at Eastburn – raised more than £28,000 in a gruelling charity challenge.

They competed against teams from across the industry in the Hope Challenge – which includes fundraising, building a shelter, a trek of at least 20km and problem solving.

Proceeds were for the housing charity, Habitat for Humanity GB.

The contest was won by Miller Homes’ Star Gazers team, which also topped the fundraising chart closely followed by the firm’s other entrants, Peaky Builders and Scotch on the Rocks.

Chris Endsor, for the company, praised everyone who took part.

“It was incredible to see how much money the teams raised – not to mention all the training and preparation they put in,” he said.
