Calton farm girl Natalie Crisp, a well known sheep shearer, has agreed to put down her hand piece and, for one day only, take the place of a sheep - having her own head shorn in front of a crowd of admirers at the Great Yorkshire Show. She has decided to lose her own top knot to raise money for the Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope. Twenty-eight-year-old Natalie was inspired to be brave and go bald after a friend’s father fell ill. She knew she wanted to do something to raise money for charity and decided that a head shave was not only fitting because of her job as a sheep shearer, but also might be dramatic enough to motivate people to spare a little cash. Natalie is well on the way to reaching her target of £500, but hopes to collect as much as possible. You can support Natalie’s efforts by visiting uk.virginmoneygiving.com/NatalieCrisp or call Natalie on 07753 558429. The great head shave will take place on Wednesday around lunch time at the shearing stand.
