Bollywood Cottage restaurant in Gargrave has grabbed fifth place in a national competition after being nominated for the first time.
The restaurant, which focusses on producing Anglicised Indian food, was nominated for the Tiffin Club competition, held in the House of Commons, by Skipton MP Julian Smith.
Bollywood Cottage is run by brothers Ahmed and Mastab Ali and has been based in Gargrave since 2000.
"There were 95 restaurants nominated. Secret diners visited us over a two month period which we knew nothing about," said Ahmed.
"We twice received letters that we had gone through to the next stage and to the final. We were very excited but nervous as well.
"We don't enter competitions - we're a small village restaurant - but we're very proud of our achievement."
