SCHOOLGIRL Darcey Burrell is now the proud owner of a Bear Planet bear after winning the Tour de France bike trail at Skipton's High Corn Mill. Visitors were challenged to spot as many bike parts as possible around the mill and the winners received prizes from The Present Planners in Craven Court. And, as overall winner, eight-year-old Darcey Burrell received a Bear Planet bear. She said: “I’m so pleased that I won as I really enjoyed taking part in the bike trail, going round the old mill and seeing the water wheel.” The runner up was Lilia Artis. Mill owner Andrew Mear said: “We wanted to mark the Grand Depart with something special for locals and visitors. We had an influx of entries, taking participants around the medieval mill including the Historical Innovation Zone where a new video has been installed to educate people about the history and importance of the mill to the area.”
