BUDDING cooks are being invited to take part in the Rotary Club of Skipton's Young Chef Competition.
Aimed at 11 to 17 year olds in full time education, those taking part will be required to make a healthy, three course meal while sticking to a budget of £15.
The winner will be put forward to the district finals and could go all the way to the national final, due to take place in April in Wrexham.
The Skipton heat, which will take place on Thursday, November 6, at Craven College's training kitchens at its High Street campus, will see around eight young cooks battling it out.
It is being sponsored by Booths supermarkets, which is providing each contestant with £15 of vouchers, for contestants to buy their ingredients.
Entrants will have two hours to make a starter, main course and dessert for two people.
Judges, appointed by Rotary, will mark on aspects, including taste and presentation, cost and presentation.
