A COLLECTION of photographs depicting some of the best loved locations across the Yorkshire Dales, as well as some less well-known views, have been brought together for a charity calendar that will raise money to support the local area.

Seasonal scenes like fresh snow on Penyghent, bluebell woods and wildflower meadows at Winskill all feature in the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust’s 2016 calendar, along with year round-icons including Ribblehead Viaduct and the famous geological formations at Norber.

Sarah Brewer, fundraiser at YDMT, said: “Our 2016 calendar is a celebration of some of the best bits of the Yorkshire Dales. We are thrilled with the finished result, and I’d like to say a big thank you to all the talented photographers who generously shared their images with us.”

The calendar will feature winning shots from a Facebook photography competition, which was run by YDMT in partnership with Yorkshire Cottages, a long-term supporter of YDMT.

Drew Dunn, director at Yorkshire Cottages, said: “The calendar is a year-long reminder of the beauty of the Dales, both for those of us who live and work here, and for those who visit. We are delighted to be supporting the YDMT’s important work into 2016.”

All the design work was carried out for free by Skipton-based design and web agency Fever Digital.

Managing Director Richard Pettifer said: “This is the fourth year that we’ve offered our services to YDMT to produce their calendar, and I have to say that the photographs seem to get better each year.”

All money raised through the sale of the calendar will play a vital role in helping YDMT to continue projects across the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.

The calendar is available to buy priced at £10 (including UK delivery) from org/shop or by calling 015242 51002.
