THE Gargrave-based Yorkshire Dales Society hosted a three-day conference at Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold.
The 70 delegates included representatives of other national park societies across England and Wales and seven young people, whose costs were met by bursaries.
As well as listening to speakers, the delegates were taken on field trips and met local business people and training providers.
"It was a very successful event," said YDS treasurer and trustee Graham Yule.
