STUDENT chefs are being given the chance to shine at a charity dinner in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance being held next month at The Devonshire Arms Hotel.

UP and coming chefs are being given the chance to star at a charity dinner event at the award winning Devonshire Arms Hotel, Bolton Abbey.

Under the watchful eye of Paul Leonard, the head chef of the hotel's Burlington Restaurant, the student chefs from Skipton's Craven College and also from Leeds City College, will create dishes for the Stars of the Future dinner at the Devonshire on Wednesday, November 15.

Paul, who joined the hotel earlier this year from the Michelin-starred Scottish hotel, the Isle of Eriska, where he has been head chef for two years, has been working with the young chefs to help them create the dishes for the evening.

Front of house students from the colleges will also join their professional counterparts at the event to sample a real-life taste of their chosen career path.

The evening, which will raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, will start with a drinks and canapes reception at 7pm, and will be co-hosted by Paul and the hotel's general manager, Adam Dyke.

The three course dinner will include a starter, prepared by a winning student from Craven College, and a main course, prepared by Paul and his team.

Dessert will be prepared by the winning Leeds City College student.

Tickets for the event are £40 per person, with part of the proceeds going to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the hotel's chosen charity. To book a ticket, telephone 01756 710441 or email events@devonshirehotels.co.uk
