Skipton LMS remained on top of the Craven League's Premier Division with a convincing win over derby rivals Skipton Town on Saturday.
LMS centre forward Ian Bernard got things off to bright start for the home side when he nipped in to put LMS up 1-0.
Ten minutes later Town striker Jimmy McConnville broke through to hit the equaliser.
LMS manager Bill Freaks said his side dominated possession throughout the half and that possession paid off when he scored his second goal on the half-hour mark to send the home side into half-time leading 2-1.
In the second half LMS tightened up their defence and Bernard made his presence once again when he got his hat-trick within ten minutes of the re-start.
Freaks said that the Town players' heads dropped and LMS were able to add their fourth goal, which was scored by Leon Binney in the 75th minute. Binney had earlier come on for hat-trick hero Bernard.
Freaks added while his side had several chances in the second half, the LMS defence limited Town to a couple of corners and no shots on goal in the final 45 minutes.
Freaks said: "We did well from back to front and came back well after last week's (4-1) defeat against Hellifield."
Hellifield Sports are level on points with LMS at the top of the Premier Division. Both teams have 34 points but LMS are top by virtue of a superior goal difference.
However, LMS have four games in hand on Hellifield which puts them in pole position to win their first title in three years.
Last season LMS finished fourth in the division, as Freaks said his side trailed off badly late in the year.
Going into this season, Freaks said LMS' target was to win the league and the Skipton side look to be on course to reach that goal.
