Skipton’s Mart Theatre will offer a double comedy treat next weekend.

First on stage, next Friday, April 11, is comedian Hal Cruttenden, who is touring the UK with his Tough Luvvie Tour.

Tipped as “the next big thing”, he has already appeared on Live at the Apollo (BBC 1), Have I Got News For You (BBC 1), Mock the Week (BBC 2), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC 2) and The Royal Variety Performance (BBC 1).

And he is due to have his own Radio 4 series.

His comedy is described as “a mix of camp and straight and warm and catty”, with footballers, Facebook and food all coming in for scrutiny.

Then, next Sunday, April 13, the spotlight moves to fellow comedian Josh Widdicombe.

Nominated as best newcomer in the 2011 Edinburgh Comedy Awards, Josh is also a TV regular with appearances on BBC1’s Mock The Week, Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Channel 4’s Comedy Gala in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and Stand Up The Week.
