SETTLE'S Victoria Hall has a busy weekend ahead.

Tomorrow, it will welcome Baka Beyond and its live show, After the Tempest.

The group - inspired by the Baka Forest People in Cameroon - combines African rhythms with Celtic harmonies.

It has also set up up the charity, Global Music Exchange, to develop music projects in Baka.

"Their show is a feast for the eyes, ears and feet," said a spokesman for Victoria Hall. "They create a unique spectacle. The energy of their thoroughly uplifting and seamless blend of fiery beats, enchanting vocals and spectacular dancing defies anybody to sit still."

They will be followed on Saturday by tribute band Queen Alright, which is known for its strong musicality and high energy performance.

It will perform Queen's classic hits in a night to remember.

Completing the weekend line-up is An Evening with Andy Kershaw on Sunday.

Andy, who brought his Global Dance Night to Settle in the summer, will talk about his 25-year career in the music industry, which has included working for the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen and amassing a record collection weighing more than seven tons.

He is also a fearless adventurer, reporting from some of the world's most perilous places, including Iraq, Sierra Leone, North Korea, Angola and Haiti. Andy was also one of very few journalists to be an eyewitness to the Rwanda genocide.

Tickets for all three shows are available from 01729 825718.
