SINGER and actor Bernard Wrigley will perform in Lothersdale Village Hall next weekend.

From starting in folk clubs in the mid 60s and then writing and performing at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, he has always combined singing and acting.

He loves the varied nature, mixing appearances in TV programmes and films such as Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Phoenix Nights, Dinnerladies, Brassed Off and Steve Coogan’s Coogan’s Run with producing a a steady stream of LPs and CDs.

And he promises a combination of songs, monologues, instrumentals and silliness at the third Lothersdale Live concert next Saturday, November 15.

The club was set up to bring top class artists in the world of folk, roots and blues to the area.

A real ale bar will be provided by Bridgehouse Brewery and wines and soft drinks will also be served.
