SKIPTON: Versatile singer/organist John Shuttleworth will entertain at the Mart Theatre tomorrow from 7.30pm.

In his show, A Wee Ken to Remember, he will share fond memories of his favourite past weekends- and pay paying homage to his next-door neighbour and sole agent, the diminutive Ken Worthington.

And the laughs will continue at the Mart on Saturday when it hosts a one-off comedy night to raise funds for the Skipton RUFC Under 16s’ trip to Ireland.

The evening will feature Jamie Sutherland and Josh Daniels, who are both stalwarts of the famous Jongleurs Comedy Club in Leeds.

lMill Bridge Gallery is staging an exhibition to highlight the work of the Craven RSPCA.

Other Animals features photography and sculpture and invites the visitor to consider the diversity and beauty of the other species who inhabit our world and our relationship with them.

It includes images by guest photographic group Over The Moon, which was formed in 2012 to raise the profile of fine art photography in East Yorkshire, and a 1940s image of farmer and calf by Skipton’s Henry Meyer.

The exhibition runs until Saturday, December 20.

SETTLE: The Gallery on the Green has extended its current exhibition, showcasing the work of local photographers Tony and Carol Dilger.

Out of Africa and into The Dales features wildlife pictures, shot during safaris in South Africa and nearer to home, in the Dales.

ARNCLIFFE: A Crocodile Dundee night will be held at Amerdale Hall tomorrow.

It will include a screening of the film, a fancy dress competition, a Crocodile Dundee quiz and refreshments.

BARNOLDSWICK: Rolls-Royce Leisure will host another Northern Soul night next Saturday, November 22.

DJ Roman will play music from old clubs, including the Birdtrap at Brierfield, the Twisted Wheel at Manchester and the Wigan Casino.

The event will run from 8pm to 1am and admission is £5 on the door.

BURTON-IN-LONSDALE: An ensemble from the Royal Northern College of Music will entertain at All Saints’ Church on Saturday.

The focus will be on singing, with a programme covering early medieval chant through to northern soul.

The concert - part of the monthly Concert and Cakes series - will start at 2.30pm and will be followed by cakes, tea, coffee and a chance to chat to the upcoming music stars.

Admission is free, with voluntary donations invited.

CLAPHAM: The village hall will host an evening with award-winning wildlife photographers Tony and Carol Dilger next Saturday, November 22, at 7pm.

Tickets are £2.50 for adults, free for children, and are available in advance from committee members or you can pay on the door.

GLUSBURN: The 1st Kildwick and Farnhill Scout Groups will hold their 73rd gang show next weekend.

The Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders will entertain with songs and sketches.

The show will be staged in Glusburn Institute next Friday and Saturday, November 21 and 22, at 7.15pm Tickets are available by contacting Mr Tillotson on 01535 653511 and cost £6.50 for adults and £4 for children.

INGLETON: The film, The Monuments Men, will be shown at the community centre next Friday, November 21.

The film follows a group tasked with finding and saving art and other culturally important items before their destruction by Hitler during World War Two.

The screening starts at 7pm and admission is £5.

lIngleton Football Club will stage an Abba tribute night at the village’s community centre on Saturday.

KILDWICK: Johnny B and Declan Vink will headline at the fortnightly Sunday Session at the White Lion.

They will perform next Sunday, November 23, from 4pm to 7pm.

The Sunday Sessions aim to bring the best local talent to the area.

LOTHERSDALE: Singer and actor Bernard Wrigley will perform in the village hall on Saturday.

From starting in folk clubs in the mid 60s and then writing and performing at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, he promises a combination of songs, monologues, instrumentals and silliness at the third Lothersdale Live concert.

Support will be provided by Sanjay Brain.

A real ale bar will be provided by Bridgehouse Brewery and wines and soft drinks will also be served.

A 40s and 50s evening will be held at the Sunnybank Social Club tomorrow at 8pm.

Company B will spin the discs and there will be singing from Kitty Lamar.

And next Saturday, November 22, Halifax Gilbert and Sullivan Society will perform the concert version of The Pirates of Penzance, at Silsden Methodist Church.
