DON your dancing shoes and gladrags for an entertaining evening of ceilidh dancing to support the work of the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT).

The evening will take place at Austwick Parish Hall on Saturday at 7.30pm and will raise vital funds to support the charity’s work caring for the environment, landscape and communities of the Yorkshire Dales.

Music and an experienced caller will be provided by local group The Batty Moss Ceilidh Band, who are giving their time for free to support the charity.

Band member Rachel Benson said: “We all really enjoy playing music together in the local pubs and it's great when we can provide music for dancers to have fun too. Raising money for YDMT will contribute to their successful work in the Yorkshire Dales."

A supper of pie and peas will be provided courtesy of award-winning Settle-based butchers Drake and Macefield.

YDMT fundraiser Sarah Brewer said: “When Rachel got in touch to offer the services of The Batty Moss Ceilidh Band for a special fundraising event, we jumped at the chance. No doubt we’ll be jumping around on the night too, as well as two-stepping, promenading, swinging and waltzing with the help of the caller! It promises to be great fun so call us to book your tickets.”

For more information or to book tickets, please call YDMT on 015242 51002 or email info@ydmt.org. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s, including supper.
