CRAVEN-born jazz sensation Clare Teal will be back on home ground tomorrow.

Described as the UK’s finest jazz singer, Clare will bring her Festive Fiesta to Settle's Victoria Hall.

Now in its sixth year, the show includes a unique blend of seasonal swing, cheeky retro grooves and a smattering of cozy fireside ballads to add a little romance.

And the Settle concert will have extra poignancy as Clare will be saying goodbye to her musical director, Grant Windsor, who is getting married and heading back to his native Australia.

The pair have worked together since 2008.

Originally the concert had been planned as a duo performance but as it is Grant's last concert, her whole band will squeeze onto the stage.

"There will be a Jing Jing a Ling in the air," writes Clare in her blog. "This will be a tour to remember."

And, tonight, Clare and the band will perform at Harrogate's Royal Hall and joining them on stage will be Sutton accordionist Thom Hardaker and Leeds saxophonist Emma Johnson.

They answered a call for talented Yorkshire folk to add a little extra cheer.

"This will be a real feel good fest and one which we’re hoping to make an annual event in Harrogate," says Clare.

Brought up in Kildwick, Clare was educated at South Craven School in Cross Hills before going on to study music at the University of Wolverhampton.

She signed a record-breaking deal with Sony in 2004, which spawned her break-through album, Don't Talk, which made the UK Top 20.

She has twice been voted British Jazz Singer of the year and also the BBC’s Jazz Singer of the year.

Away from her singing work, Clare has become well known to radio listeners with her live show on BBC Radio 2, featuring the best of Swing and Big Band Music.
