STEETON Male Voice Choir has honoured musical director Alan Clark and his wife Christine for their long service.

The pair were put in the spotlight during the choir’s end-of-year concert in Bingley earlier this month.

Members paid tribute to Alan for not missing a practice or concert in the past 20 years.

Christine received a certificate for leading the choir’s Ladies Supporters Group, which raises money for the choir and provides catering for visiting choirs.

Choir chairman David Borley presented Christine with the certificate and Alan paid tribute to his wife’s support over the past two decades.

During the concert, there were solos from members John Hirst, Richard Hartley and Ian McDonald, violinist Steve Fenton and pianist Pat Jones. Choir member Peter Headey and his wife Hilary performed In The Bleak Mid Winter.

At the choir’s last rehearsal of the year there was a fun evening involving an Opportunity Knocks talent evening.
