LATVIAN pianist Arta Arnicane will perform at Skipton Music’s final concert of the season on Tuesday.
Born into a family with a strong and long-standing musical tradition, she started playing the piano and composing at the age of four.
Supported by numerous scholarships, she studied in several countries and graduated with a distinction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (2004), the Latvian Academy of Music (2008), and Zurich University of the Arts (2010 and 2012).
Arta has a wide-ranging repertoire and, for her Skipton appearance, has chosen works by Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn and Bolcom.
The concert will be staged in Christ Church, Skipton, at 7.30pm and tickets are available from skiptonmusic.org.uk or call 01756 799912.
