A GROUP of girls from Settle College have put together a new exhibition for the town's Gallery on the Green.
They spoke to their mothers, grandmothers and other women from the town about their lives and what it was like for women living in the town in previous times.
The results will be revealed when the Settle Girls Group exhibition opens on Saturday.
Complemented by a collection of photographs, many of which have never been seen in public before, the exhibition provides a fascinating insight into different lives and how generations relate to each other.
"Compressing all this into the gallery, which is housed in a former BT phone box, was a challenge for the girls but one that they have risen to in a way that will delight and inform visitors over the next two months," said gallery spokesman Mike Smith.
The exhibition will run until March 19.
