THE Craven Arms at Appletreewick will serve up a musical treat tomorrow night.

Taking to the stage will be singer-songwriter John Otway and local legends Plumhall.

John, who has built a sizeable cult audience through extensive touring, has had two hits - Cor Baby That's Really Free, which was propelled into the charts after his appearance on The Old Grey Whistle Test, and Bunsen Burner, which went into the Top Ten.

Plumhall comprises Michelle Plum and Nick B Hall, whose self-penned songs have won plaudits from the likes of R2 Magazine, Miles Hunt from The Wonder Stuff and Steve Knightley from Show of Hands.

The pair deliver guitar and harmony driven textures of folk, Americana and pop, and have have been wowing audiences on the live acoustic circuit in the UK.

Winners of the Yorkshire Gig Guide Outstanding Songwriters award 2014, Plumhall released their debut album, Thundercloud, in September 2014 and it was hailed as one of The Guardian and Observer's Hidden Gems of 2014.

Michelle is a former member of Chumbawamba, Waking the Witch and The Accidental Tourists, and in her own right has supported Aimee Mann, Capercaillie, Ralph McTell, Nerina Pallot, Texas and Shane MacGowan.

Nick is a member of the Hall Brothers band and has supported Fairport Convention, Hugh Cornwell, Show of Hands, Kate Rusby, Glenn Tilbrook among others. He also provided session guitar for Magna Carta on its 2010 South African tour.
