SKIPTON: Early music group Red Priest will perform at the next Skipton Music concert on Tuesday.
And, during the afternoon, the baroque music quartet will entertain 300 children from 12 different primary schools at the society's annual schools concert.
Founded in 1997, and named after the flame-haired priest Vivaldi, Red Priest has given several hundred sell-out concerts and has been described by music critics as ‘visionary and heretical’, ‘outrageous yet compulsive’ and ‘with a wicked sense of humour’.
Its Skipton programme includes Handel in the Wind - music by Handel which has been arranged by Red Priest.

* Craven Museum and Gallery, Skipton, is to host a new exhibition showcasing some of the top contemporary Islamic artists working in the UK.
The world-class Faith In Art exhibition, run in collaboration with the Muslim Museum Initiative, opens tomorrow and runs until March 28.
Curated by Initiative founder Mobeen Butt, the exhibition will bring together ten exceptional artists and will showcase calligraphy, geometry, arabesque, illumination, miniature painting, wood crafting, paper-cutting, embroidery, fabric printing and three dimensional works.
The exhibition will also include work created at a five-week ‘Introduction to Arabic Calligraphy' course and a paper-cutting workshop inspired by Turkish Iznik patterns, which takes place on Saturday.
* The Venue will host an acoustic evening tonight.
Taking to the stage will be York-born Noah Clouds, who has released several EPs, and Yesterdays Future- a five-piece band from Leeds who will play a variety of songs from the movies.
And, on Saturday, The Venue will launch Life on Mars - a new monthly night hosted by Reach resident Aaron Lang.
He will be joined by DJs John Ward and Matti Keighley.
SETTLE: The Lempen Puppet Theatre will celebrate National Storytelling Week with a performance at Victoria Hall.
The Skipton-based company will present The Amazing Thing - a mixture of storytelling and puppetry - on Saturday at 11am.
The show follows an unusual journey through a medley of Brothers Grimm Tales and includes puppets, acting and live music. It is suitable for youngsters aged from five.

* A group of girls from Settle College have put together a new exhibition for the town's Gallery on the Green.
They spoke to their mothers, grandmothers and other women from the town about their lives and what it was like for women living in the town in previous times.
The results are revealed in the Talking Across Our Generations exhibition.
Complemented by a collection of photographs, many of which have never been seen in public before, the exhibition provides a fascinating insight into different lives and how generations relate to each other.
The exhibition will run until March 19.
* Settle Music will hold a guitar session next Friday, February 12.
It will take place at Settle Primary School at 7pm and admission is £5.
All levels and abilities welcome.
ARNCLIFFE: The family film, Minions, will be screened at Amerdale Hall on Sunday, February 21.
The film concentrates on three minions seeking employment with supervillan Scarlett Overkill in the 1960s and their engagement in a plot to steal the crown of the Queen of England.
The screening starts at 2pm and tickets cost £2.50 in advance or £3 on the door for under 16s and £4.50 in advance or £5 on the door for adults. They are available from littondale.net 
BURNSALL: The Roots Alive Folk Orchestra will perform at a ceilidh at Burnsall Village Hall on Saturday, from 7.30pm.
All proceeds go to the Roots Alive Music Partnership Project, supporting schools in Durban, South Africa.

ELDROTH: Local group Jukebox Junkies will perform Golden Oldies at the parish hall on Saturday.
The event is a fundraiser for both the parish hall and Eldroth Church and will start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10, which includes pie and peas supper, and are available from 015242 51446.
GARGRAVE: The Gargrave and Malhamdale Library Group will host another film night in the village hall next Friday, February 12.
The featured film will be the Hundred Foot Journey, starring Helen Mirren and Manish Dayal. The plot revolves around the opening of an Indian restaurant in a quaint French village in close proximity to an acclaimed French restaurant.
Doors open at 7pm with the film starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 on the door.
GRASSINGTON: Community Cinema returns to the town hall's Octagon Theatre on Saturday.
At 4.30pm, the American computer-animated family comedy film, Minions, will be screened.
A spin-off to Despicable Me, Minions Stuart, Kevin and Bob are recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a super-villain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world.
The evening film is the action adventure Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation.
Starring Tom Cruise and Rebecca Ferguson, the fifth instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise sees Ethan and his team face their most difficult mission yet - to prove the Syndicate's true existence and to bring the organisation down by any means necessary.
The screening starts at 7.30pm.

* York-based covers band The Detours will provide the music at a Valentine's dance in Grassington Town Hall next Saturday, February 13.
The fundraising evening features a bar featuring real ales, and a pie and peas supper with tickets bought in advance, at The Hub or the newsagents.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
KELBROOK: Hannah Hird and students will provide music at a Valentine's Day Treat at St Mary's Church next Sunday, February 14, from from 3pm to 5pm.
Admission at the door is £5 for adults and £3 for children. All proceeds will go to St Mary's.
