SKIPTON Players will be back in action next week.
They are staging the farce, On Your Honour, which features a group of lawyers away for an important weekend conference.
Hugo Barnes desperately wants to be a High Court Judge and has organised the conference to impress the new Lord Chancellor, Lord Lumsden-Clark. But Nick Willmott, the Lord Chancellor’s son-in-law, has invited a young secretary along for the weekend, which threatens Nick’s marriage, Hugo’s plans for a trouble-free conference and both their reputations.
The comedy - which will be directed by Phil Smith - is full of misunderstandings, narrow escapes and sexual infidelity, with an unusual undercurrent of family reconciliation.
The cast is: Christian - Liam Burnham; Nick Willmott - Philip Smith; Toni Taylor - Cassie Fonth; Hugo Barnes - Chris Dixon; Gerald Blunt - David Harper; Hilary Willmott - Serena Pickard; Sir Harry Lumsden-Clark - Patrick Smith; and Liz Lumsden-Clark - Caroline Paley.
The show opens at Skipton Little Theatre on Tuesday and runs nightly at 7.30pm until Saturday. Tickets are available from skiptonlittletheatre.org.uk or call 07527 141176.
