ALWAYS at the forefront of ambitious amateur theatre, Grassington Players are bringing a whole new meaning to the term live-streaming with their spring production, Entertaining Angels.

The team has recreated an idyllic English vicarage garden in the Octagon Theatre at Grassington Town Hall, including a real stream running by the audience!

In Richard Everritt’s play, Grace, a recently bereaved vicar’s widow, is coming to terms with her husband’s recent death.

Played by Penny Hart-Woods, she uses her acerbic wit to lash out at her sister Ruth, played by Bev Cuerden, her daughter Jo (Emma Shepherd), and Sarah (Sarah Vetch), who is moving into the vicarage. Not even Bardy, her dead husband (Andrew Jackson) is spared!

As disturbing revelations rock the calm of the garden, this absorbing play swings between comedy and tragedy as she struggles to come to terms with the truth.

Entertaining Angels runs tomorrow, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 in advance from Grassington Hub on 01756 752222 or £7 on the door.
