THE senior students of Skipton's Northern Dance Centre are bringing the excitement of Rio to the Yorkshire Dales.
The dancers will stage Carnival at Giggleswick School's Richard Whiteley Theatre on Sunday at 4pm.
They will take the audience on a journey through the tribes of the Brazilian rainforest and along the mighty River Amazon, complete with the fruits of nature, colours of the rainbow and tropical birds.
There will be classical ballet with a South American twist, salsa, jive, folk dance and jazz dance, topped off with a carnival parade and traditional Samba drumming.
Centre principal Amy Addison said: "Tickets sold out a month ago, so next time I think we will do two shows at this lovely theatre."
