MANFORD’S Comedy Club is bringing a night of stand-up comedy to Skipton.

The event, at Skipton Town Hall tomorrow, will feature a number of acts, including Big Lou, and City Life comedian of the year, writer of BBC's Ideal, Tony Burgess.

The event, which will raise money for Skipton's Parish Church School, will be hosted by Colin Manford, brother of comedian Jason Manford, and a star of the comedy circuit in his own right.

Colin, who has performed at the Manchester Comedy Store, presents a number of television shows, including BlueMoonRising TV, the biggest Manchester City fan channel.

It was a chance meeting between Colin, who is also an actor, with Skipton actor, Thomas Aldersley, that the comedy night now comes to the town.

"It’s a real coup for Skipton to host such a huge comedy night," said Thomas.

"Tony Burgess is a much sought after comedian on the circuit so it’s really exciting to have him in the line-up. Throw in Colin Manford as the host and along with all the other acts, you’ve got the ingredients for an amazing night."

The evening promises to be a night of fun and laughter with a cash bar and a fantastic raffle full of top prizes, including a £100 family ticket to Lightwater Valley, a Keelham FarmShop hamper, afternoon tea at Devonshire Fell and a £40 Rendezvous Hotel meal voucher.

There will also be an auction of a 2015/16 Burnley home shirt signed by the squad who have just sealed the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets costing £12 are available from eventbrite.co.uk (search underComedy Night in Association with Manford’s Comedy Club).
