DRAMA, music and comedy will be on offer at Skipton's Mart Theatre over the next few days.

Kicking off the entertainment will be local actress Clementine Bogg-Hargroves who will perform Spine, by Clara Brennan, on Friday night.

Spine charts the explosive friendship between a ferocious, wise-cracking teenager and an elderly East End widow, who is is hell-bent on leaving a political legacy.

Andy Lynan, artistic director of The Mart Theatre, said : "I watched Clementine perform this a few months ago at Hettie's Bistro and was amazed at her portrayal of the two women."

On Saturday, the focus turns to music when the Hollywood Bees perform their acclaimed show, Juke Box Sixties - a compilation of some of the greatest Sixties UK, including music of The Hollies, The Beatles, The Fortunes, The Bee Gees and The Kinks.

And next Thursday, June 2, it will be laughs all round when comedian Gary Delaney takes to the stage.

He says his new show is not only great for people who like lots of jokes but also fun for people who enjoy getting offended by jokes too.
