Bolton Abbey Priory Church will welcome Leeds Philharmonic Chorus
THE Leeds Philharmonic Chorus will give the next Bolton Abbey Priory concert.
It will perform Simple Gifts at the ancient church on Saturday at 7.30pm.
The chorus has more than 125 singing members, who regularly perform at Leeds Town Hall and its repertoire encompasses both tradition and innovation.
The Bolton Abbey programme will include Songs of Freedom by James Burton, Litanies by Jehan Alain which will feature an organ solo by Alan Horsey, five negro spirituals by Sir Michael Tippett and the Armed Man Suite by Sir Karl Jenkins.
The conductor for the evening will be Richard Wilberforce.
