SKIPTON: The exhibition Stepping Into View will be on display at Craven Museum and Gallery until the end of March.

The exhibition, a collaboration between Stepping Stones, Craven College and Craven Museum and Gallery, will display photographs taken by a local group of adults with learning disabilities, detailing everyday life in Skipton.

The gallery in Skipton Town Hall is open every day except Sundays, from 10am to 4pm.

Skipton Players will present the Alan Ayckbourn comedy Relatively Speaking from February 21 to 25 at Skipton Little Theatre, on Clifford Street.

Relatively Speaking is a story of mistaken identities and misunderstandings focusing on the characters Ginny, Greg, Philip and Sheila.

Skipton Music will present a concert performance by the Aurora Wind Ensemble in Skipton Town Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday, February 28.

Established in 1996, the Aurora Ensemble, which features Maxine Willis on flute, Gwenllian Davies on oboe, Andrew Mason on clarinet, Stuart Russell on bassoon and Helen Shillito on horn, is one of the UK’s premier wind quintets.

The programme includes Zemlinsky's Humoreske, Danzi's Quintet in G minor, Op.56 No.2, Klughardt's Quintet, Hindemith's Kleine Kammermusik No.2, Arnold's Trio and Briccialdi's Wind Quintet in D, Op.124.

Skipton Film Club will screen the stop-motion animation film Anomalisa on Sunday, March 5, in the Plaza Cinema, on Sackville Street.

A short film by local filmmakers will start the evening.

The film is open to everyone and tickets cost £5.50 for film club members and £6.50 for non-members.

The Langcliffe Singers will perform the concert Come and Sing: Messiah on Saturday, February 25, at Christ Church, Skipton.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will host a singers night starting at 8.30pm on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street.

The folk band The Hut People will perform on Monday, February 20.

SETTLE: The former BT telephone box, which now houses the Gallery on the Green in Settle, has featured many different exhibits over the years, but will return to its origins with its current exhibit which focuses on phones.

Mobiles, landlines, phone boxes, phone lines, puns and jokes and all sorts of pictures of telephones, real and imaginary, form the basis of Settle Photographic Group's exhibition Focus on Phones.

All the work is new and has been made at a scale that works in the tiniest of exhibition spaces.

The exhibition runs through March 12.

Keith James will perform a concert featuring The Songs of Leonard Cohen at 8pm on Wednesday in Settle Victoria Hall.

The concert will feature many of Cohen's well known songs, including Famous Blue Raincoat, Sisters of Mercy, Suzanne and Hallelujah, and also poems by Federico Garcia Lorca that Keith James has set to music.

Doors open at 7.15pm and tickets cost £14 or £5 for under 21s.

The Comedy All Stars stand up show, headlined by Patrick Monahan, will be held at 8pm on Sunday, February 19, in Settle Victoria Hall.

The show will also feature stand up by Raymond Mearns and Preston funnyman Tony Vino will compere the evening.

Doors open at 7.15pm and all tickets cost £10.

BARNOLDSWICK: Giz and Beef's open mic night will be held from 7pm to 11pm on Sunday at the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, 18-22 Rainhall Road.

A live acoustic session with the legendary Big Country will be held at 7pm on Thursday, March 2, in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre. The concert is being presented by Concert For The Kids.

The Chef Show will be staged at the Rainhall Centre in Barnoldswick at 7pm on Friday, February 10.

Part play, park cookery demonstration, The Chef Show, written by Nick Ahad and produced by Cumbrian-based Ragged Edge Productions, takes its audience behind the scenes on a busy Saturday night in the local curry house.

Two actors play a cast of thousands inspired by interviews with real people in the trade.

CRACOE: A fundraising ceilidh for Skipton Choral Society will be held at 7pm on Saturday in Cracoe Village Hall.
