SKIPTON: Members and supporters of Skipton Little Theatre are reminded the annual general meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 7, in the theatre on Clifford Street.

The Skipton Players' first production of the season, the dark comedy Natural Causes, will run at the theatre from October 10 to 14.

Skipton Film Club will begin its second season on Sunday, September 3, at the Plaza Cinema on Sackville Street.

The film club will screen the 2017 film Baby Driver, which tells the story of a tinnitus-afflicted getaway driver who is very attached to his iPod. The heist movie, directed by Edgar Wright, features a full-volume soundtrack.

The film club night on September 3 starts at 5.15pm with a short film by a film club member.

Members and non members are welcome.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will host singers night every Monday throughout August at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street. Start time is 8.30pm.

SETTLE: International storyteller Cassandra Wye will perform a UK premiere of her new show ‘Stories under the Stars’ at Lower Winskill Farm in Langcliffe.

The show, which is organised by Settle Stories, will be held at 7pm on Saturday.

Audiences will gather round the campfire at the Yorkshire Dales farm to hear Cassandra's stories about those who have followed the stars, from sky-maidens looking for love to runaway slaves searching for freedom.

Many of her stories are inspired by Cassandra's recent trip to the USA, where she visited the Native American Indians who lived on the plains.

The exhibitions Back in Settle: Pastimes in Past Times and Settle Captured in Wool will be on display at The Folly until September 24.

The Folly's exhibition 1917: Mud and Misery, which looks at how the lives of the people of North Craven were affected by the Great War in 1917, will be on display until October 29.

Following on from his 2010 exhibition, Canadian photographer Jim des Rivières will display a new collection of moth photographs at the Gallery on the Green in Settle until September 18.

The exhibition includes 28 moth species representing a tiny cross-section of the species found in the immediate locale of the photographer’s home in Ottawa, Canada.

Settle Photographic Group's ninth annual exhibition will take place in Clapham Village Hall over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The exhibition will be held from 10am to 5pm on Saturday to Monday. Entry is free and refreshments are available.

The S'MettleFest will be held from 2pm to midnight on Saturday in Settle Victoria Hall.

Oliver/Dawson Saxon, featuring founding members of the legendary Saxon, Graham Oliver and Steve Dawson, will headline the one-day heavy metal festival over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Kicking off at 2pm, the full day of metal will include Dizzy Lizzy (Thin Lizzy tribute), Sabotage (Black Sabbath tribute), Hysteria (Def Leppard tribute) and Slade UK.

All tickets cost £25.

Irish country singer Eddie Carey and his Band will perform at 8pm on Monday in Settle Victoria Hall.

Born in 1990, Eddie, a native of County Limerick who performed his first country gig at the age of six, is influenced by American country artists George Jones, Gene Watson and the late Gene Stuart.

Doors open at 7.15pm and all tickets cost £10.50.

BARNOLDSWICK: A Northern Soul Night will be held tomorrow at the Rolls-Royce Leisure Club on Skipton Road.

Steve Burke will be the guest DJ and the evening runs from 8pm to 1am.

Blues Hall of Fame legend Norman Beaker and His Amazing Band will perform in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road, at 7.30pm on Friday, September 1.

Though Norman, who is from Manchester, is known primarily as a bluesman, he also performs jazz, rock, pop and R&B.

BOLTON ABBEY: Soprano Katy Kelly and pianist Ewan Gilford will present an Evening Classics, a concert of operatic favourites, art songs and Irish music, at 7.30pm on Friday, September 15, in the Priory Church at Bolton Abbey.

BUCKDEN: Buckden Art Group will hold its 27th annual art exhibition from Saturday to Tuesday in Buckden Village Institute. The exhibition will be open from 11am to 5pm daily.

CARLETON-IN-CRAVEN: Multi-award winning country singer and guitarist Darren Busby returns to the Iron Horse Country Music Club on Saturday, September 9, at Carleton Social Club.

KILNSEY: The Upper Wharfedale Arts and Literature Society will host a cream tea afternoon with best-selling crime author Sophie Hannah at Conistone with Kilnsey Village Hall on Thursday, August 31, at 2pm.

GIGGLESWICK: A screening of Carmen on the Lake will be shown at 7pm on Thursday, September 14, at the Richard Whiteley Theatre.

Carmen on the Lake was recorded live on the floating stage at Lake Constance during the Bregenz Festival in Austria.

KELBROOK: The 19th annual Kelbrook Art Exhibition will be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend in Kelbrook Village Hall.

The exhibition runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, 11am to 5pm on Sunday and 10am to 5pm on Monday.

Homemade refreshments will be served in a modern tea room and terrace and there will be over 300 pieces of artwork to view and buy.

Admission is free and there will be a raffle.

All proceeds will be donated to charity.
