SKIPTON: Skipton Town Hall will celebrate the Royal Wedding with a free indoor street party and live screening of the event on Saturday.

HRH Prince Henry of Wales and Meghan Markle will marry at midday and travel through Windsor in a carriage at 1pm. The Skipton Town Hall event will run from 11.30am to 4pm.

There will also be a Sheep to Cloth textile event running from 2pm to 5pm the same day.

It will celebrate the textile skills of Craven through the ages with a chance to try historic cloth making.

Shaun The Sheep – The Movie will then be screened at 5pm, which will coincide with Museums at Night, a nationwide event where museums throw open their doors after hours to showcase their treasures.

Humans of the Dales Exhibition will be on display until Monday, May 28, in Skipton Town Hall.

The exhibition, commissioned by Grassington Festival, will be open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.

The exhibition, The Celestial Landscape, an exploration of Yorkshire landscapes in mono print, linocut and bronze by Helen Peyton, will be on display in the Mill Bridge Gallery, 3 Mill Bridge, until Monday, June 2.

The galley will be open from 11am to 4pm Thursdays to Saturdays.

Skipton Folk Unplugged will present Settle Folk Gathering featuring Mike Harding and a variety of performers on Monday at the Narrow Boat, on Victoria Street. Start time is 8.30pm.

SETTLE: One-woman show Where Is Mrs Christie? will be staged at 7.30pm tonight in Victoria Hall.

Upcoming concerts in Victoria Hall include performances by country blues duo Hans Theessink and Brooks Williams at 8pm tomorrow, Mongolian music band Anda Union at 8pm on Saturday, folk band Lankum at 8pm on Wednesday and musician Sarah McQuaid at 8pm on Thursday, May 24.

A screening of the classic silent film Speedy, which is part of the Yorkshire Silent Film Festival, will be shown at 7.30pm on Tuesday.

Then at 7.30pm on Saturday, May 26, there will be a screening of Streams of Wonder - Looking for the Heart of the Yorkshire Dales, a new film by The Moonbeam Collective.

The exhibition Still Life – A Celebration will be on display until Saturday at Gavagan Art in Settle Town Hall.

BARNOLDSWICK: AC/DC tribute band Bon Play AC/DC will perform a free concert on Monday in the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

Americana, rock ‘n’ roll country band Jake Dixon and The Hiding Magpies will perform in concert on Bank Holiday Monday, May 28.
