BARNOLDSWICK resident, Heather Sheldrick has been selected as one of the first 100 Keep Britain Tidy #LitterHeroes Ambassadors.
The 100 ambassadors, spread across the country, will be working with the charity and in their communities – inspiring and supporting new and existing #LitterHeroes to take action and help clean up the country together.
As one of the first #LitterHeroes ambassadors, Heather has big plans for improving her neighbourhood by getting people of all ages and abilities involved in easily achievable, small tasks to improve their area.
Heather, who won an anti-litter competition as a schoolgirl nearly 50 years ago and is still an active litter-picker, aid: “A little means a lot. Imagine if every person picked up just three pieces of litter a day - what a difference that would make.”
