THE National Youth Training Choir, which features singers aged 13 to 18, will perform a free pop-up concert at noon on Friday, August 3, in Settle Market Place.
Following the success of their spring concert in Oxford, top young singers from all over the UK are coming together for the 30-minute ‘pop-up’ performance in Settle.
The choir will be entertaining passers-by with a range of songs and melodies, learned on their summer course, held in Giggleswick School.
The free outdoors performance takes place ahead of their summer concert, which will be held at 3pm on Saturday, August 4 at the Richard Whiteley Theatre in Giggleswick.
The collaborative concert, conducted by Greg Beardsell and Lucy Joy Morris, will include the choir and two of the UK’s top young percussionists O Duo, who will play a range of instruments including the marimbas, rain-sticks and bongos.
