The 13th annual Art in the Pen will be held on Saturday, August 11, and Sunday, August 12, at Skipton Auction Mart.

This year the auction mart will be host nearly 200 local and national artists and craft makers showcasing a

diverse mix of specialisms and backgrounds.

The exhibition by Paul Miller will explore Skipton Town Hall itself - the building, the history and the people, using sound, paintings, video and projection mapping as an installation.

SETTLE: As part of the Overground Underground event, the best of the Kendal Mountain Film Festival will be screened at 8pm on Saturday, August 11, in Settle Victoria Hall.

Le Vent du Nord, a traditional folk band from Québec, will perform in concert at 7.30pm on Sunday, August 12.

A night of classic Northern Soul and Motown from DJs Richard Lodge and Roman will then be held from 7.30pm on Friday, August 24.

Gary Stewart and his seven-piece band will perform Paul Simon’s landmark Graceland album at 8pm on Saturday, August 25.

The Westenders will perform their World’s Greatest Musicals show at 7.30pm on Sunday, August 26.

Acclaimed rapper, grime artist and producer Testament will give a workshop over three days, running from 10am to 4pm on Monday to Wednesday at The Joinery in Settle.

The National Youth Training Choir, which features singers aged 13 to 18, will perform a free pop-up concert at noon tomorrow in Settle Market Place.

The summer exhibition Cornucopia will be on display until Saturday, August 24, at Gavagan Art in Settle Town Hall.

The exhibition feature prints and ceramics by London-based Charlotte Hodes, figurative paintings by Cornish-based artist Richard Tuff, lithographs by Karolina Larusdottir, William Clayton’s trompe-l’œil oil painting and abstract paintings and prints by artists Jacquie Denby, David Cook and Milan Ivanic.

Knitted Settle, an exhibition of knitted pictures of buildings in Settle, will be on display at The Folly until December 22.

BARNOLDSWICK: Award-winning Belfast singer songwriter Kaz Hawkins with special guest Sam York will perform in concert on Thursday, September 27, at the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre, on Rainhall Road.

KELBROOK: An art exhibition will be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend at Kelbrook Village Hall.

The exhibition, which will be open from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and Monday and 11am to 5pm on the Sunday, will include 300 pieces of artwork to view and buy, a raffle of two paintings by Joy Haigh and John Allen and homemade refreshments.
