SKIPTON Little Players are performing the classic farce Boeing Boeing.
The comedy by Marc Camoletti, Beverley Cross and Francis Evans can be seen from Tuesday to Saturday (July 31-August 4) at 7.30pm.
This 1960s French farce, adapted for the English-speaking stage, features self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard.
He has Italian, German, and American fiancées, each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent “layovers”, and he keeps “one up, one down, and one pending”.
Bernard’s housekeeper Bertha keeps everything in check for him, and everything runs smoothly. What could go wrong?
Well... the day his old school friend, Robert, drops in is the same day the fiancées’ schedule changes, bringing all three to Paris, and Bernard’s apartment, at the same time.
As Bernard says, “We’re in for a stormy night!”
Pictured are, from left, back, Jacqui Whiteley (Bertha), Charlie Martin (Gabriella), Chris Dixon (Bernard), Roxanne Williams (Gloria); front, Philip Smith (Robert) and Anne Most (Gretchen).
