AN annual art exhibition will be held in Kelbrook Village Hall over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

“This will be the 20th Kelbrook Art Exhibition and preparations are well in hand to, hopefully, make this the best ever,” said Josephine Robinson, one of the organisers. “There are usually over 300 pieces of artwork on display by amateur and professional artists to view and buy at affordable prices.”

Paintings by two local artists Joy Haigh and John Allen, of Barnoldswick Art Group, have been donated as raffle prizes for the forthcoming exhibition.

The exhibition will be held from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and Monday, and from 11am to 5pm on the Sunday.

Admission is free, but there will homemade refreshments available to purchase.

All proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Pendleside Hospice.

Any artist interested in entering the exhibition is encouraged to contact Joy Haigh on 07800 979243.
