A new exhibition of work by aspiring artists at Craven College opens this weekend.
Entitled “Aspirations”, the exhibition showcases some dynamic work, reflecting the learning goals of the higher education courses.
It includes a three-metre-long painting of Malham Cove by retired teacher Susan Duffey, who is now an HND student, who works mainly in pastel and mixed media. She exhibited work in Skipton, Barnoldswick and Pendle in 2009 and at East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley, during the autumn.
The exhibition, which runs until May, includes precious metal jewellery, 3D installations, print work and paintings.
It is being staged in the School of Art and Media at the college’s Aireville campus, off Gargrave Road, Skipton, and will begin with a special preview event on Saturday between 2pm and 4pm. Invitations can be obtained by emailing collegehncstudents@ live.co.uk.
The exhibition will be open to the public on weekdays
