Craven’s printmakers will be exhibiting their latest work at Skipton Castle this weekend. The exhibition is organised by professional artists from Printlink, which was set up to promote the art form. The exhibition will focus on the work of Philippa Troutman, of Ribblehead, Tony Stephenson, of Cowling, Chris Murray, of Skipton, and Helen Peyton, of Appletree-wick. It will be open to the public from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and from noon to 6pm on Sunday.
* Steeton Male Voice Choir will team up with the Rotary Club of Skipton for a concert to raise funds for Rotary Youth and International projects. It will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Skipton, next Saturday, March 13, at 7.30pm and will feature a “broad musical programme”. * Christ Church will host a string orchestra concert on Saturday, at 3pm. It will feature soloists from Ermysted’s Grammar and Skipton Girls’ High School. Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, payable at the door. Accompanied children will be admitted free.
* A new exhibition by artists at Craven College is on display in the School of Art and Media at the Aireville campus, off Gargrave Road. Titled Aspirations, it showcases some dynamic work, reflecting the learning goals of the higher education courses. The exhibition includes jewellery, 3D installations, print work and paintings. It can be viewed on weekdays.
* The Mart Theatre welcomes back comedian Jon Richardson on Saturday in “This Guy at Night”.
The music of Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash will be brought to life next Friday, March 12, when the Memphis Show Band joins forces with the Johnny Cash Tribute band. The focus stays on music next Saturday, March 13, when BBC Folk Award winners Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham return to the Mart stage. * Craven Museum and Gallery’s latest exhibition, It’s About Time, features a display of grandfather clocks and watches, accompanied by facts and proverbs relating to the passing of time.
An exhibition of members’ work is being staged by Settle Photographic Group at the Gallery on the Green, in Upper Settle.
Members were challenged to take photographs reflecting their tastes and interests. The gallery is housed in a classic red BT phone box and the exhibition runs until March 27. Details can be found on the website galleryonthegreen.org.uk
* Victoria Hall starts its March programme with a comedy cabaret on Saturday. It will be followed by the Inspector Sands theatre company next Thursday, March 11, in If That’s All There Is, a play about a “successful but desperately average” couple who are teetering on the brink of marriage. BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winners John Spiers and Jon Boden will entertain next Sunday, March 14, with “spontaneous punky English folk”.

* Jimmy and the Jackdaws will headline at a Rock ’n’ Roll Night at Settle Social Club on Saturday to raise money for the Haiti Relief Fund. Admission is restricted to over-21s and is by donation (notes only). The social club will host another charity event next weekend. A Modern Soul night will take place next Saturday, March 13, at 9pm, to raise funds for the Help For Heroes charity. Tickets cost £3.
* Langcliffe composer and organist Paul Fisher will give an organ recital at Settle Parish Church in aid of the Aspire and Renew Appeal next Saturday, March 13.
The recital starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £7.
St Mary’s Church will host a concert by Ermysted’s Big Band on Saturday at 7.30pm, in aid of church funds. Admission is £5 for adults, £4 for concessions and free for accompanied children.
Gargrave Pantomime Group’s An Arabian Tale opens in the village hall tonight (Thursday), with further performances tomorrow and Saturday. Tickets are available at Gargrave Newsagents.
The Swing Commanders will headline at a charity dance at Rolls Royce Leisure Centre next Saturday, March 13, at 7.15pm. Proceeds will go to the Barnoldswick and Earby Bosom Friends and tickets cost between £10 and £12.50 on the door.

* The Proms on the Farm organisers are holding an “Evening of Variety Entertainment” tomorrow (Friday). It will include a singalong with the Craven Accordion Orchestra and a country and folk band. The event will take place at Silsden Golf Club at 7.30pm and tickets are £5 from Twiggs newsagents, Silsden. Proceeds will be split between Manorlands hospice and the Silsden Methodist Church building fund.
* Silsden’s Projecto Gallery is staging a new exhibition. The gallery, in Kirkgate, sells contemporary photography not exhibited before in the UK. The exhibition runs until Wednesday March 17.
A new art gallery is launching with an exhibition of contemporary work by artist Lisa Hinds, of Addingham. The exhibition opens on Saturday and runs for 15 days. The gallery is based in Wood Lane.
