Professional dance company Ascendance Rep will perform a new dance piece at Skipton Castle on Saturday. The company comprises 13 dancers aged between five and 70, who will be dancing to the sounds of international harp guitarist Jason Carter.
The piece, funded by Arts Council England, has been inspired by Ascendance Rep’s investigation into the castle’s heritage and ambience during a two-week residency. There will be two performances, at 2pm and 3.30pm, preceded by a family dance workshop at noon. To sign up for the workshop or to buy tickets, visit ascendance.org.uk or call 0113 2454693.
