Skipton Ladies Choir will give a concert in Holy Trinity Church as part of its “Built to the Glory of God” flower festival.
“Music and Readings for a Summer Evening” takes place on Saturday at 7.30pm and tickets cost £7 for adults and £5 for concessions.
* Craven Museum is hosting an exhibition covering the history of football from 1909. Until September 27, visitors can enjoy football photographs and memorabilia.
The “Some Sheep are on the Pitch” exhibition also includes a pair of former England captain John Terry’s boots, a 1966 World Cup shirt and some original Wembley Stadium seats.
Water is the focus of The Folly’s current exhibition. It includes photographs by Andy Latham, entitled Landscapes of the Ribble, and a “WaterWorks” selection by Settle Photographic Group. The third part of the show is titled “Water in North Craven Life, Work and Leisure”. The exhibition will run until October 31 and opening times are Tuesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
* The Gallery on the Green is hosting an exhibition of local weddings from bygone days. The gallery, a former British Telecom telephone kiosk at Upper Settle, is displaying photographs taken in the 1950s and 1960s by Settle photographer Tommy Faulkner.
The Penyghent Café is hosting an exhibition of local landscape pictures by Bradford photographer Chris Dyson.
Local artists Margaret Blackburne and Judith Todd, both members of Clapham Art Group, are holding an exhibition of their work in Clapham Village Hall.
The exhibition will also include works from a private collection by several Yorkshire artists, including the late Lilian Clark. The preview takes place tomorrow (Friday) from 8pm and is open to all. The exhibition runs until Tuesday and is open between 11am and 5pm daily.
Soul nights at the Rolls-Royce Club return with a Big Soul Dance on Saturday. It will feature “across the board” soul from the 1960s and 1970s from 8pm. Admission is £4 on the door.
The Dales Chamber Orchestra will give a concert in St Michael the Archangel Church tomorrow (Friday).
The orchestra, made up of talented musicians aged between 17 and 24, will perform works by Brahms and Francaix as well as a wind quartet. The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets, costing £10 for adults and £5 for children, are available from 07974 698264.
Kelbrook will stage its annual art exhibition over the bank holiday. More than 300 pictures will be available to view and buy in the village hall between Saturday and Monday. And a painting by local artist Bev Parker will be raffled and the proceeds divided between Pendleside Hospice and the Air Ambulance.
Admission is free and opening times are: Saturday, 10am to 5pm; Sunday, 11am to 5pm; and Monday, 10am to 5pm. Homemade refreshments will be on sale.
* A variety of work will be on offer at Kelbrook Arts Market, which will be staged in the village hall next Saturday, September 4, from 9am to 1pm. From jewellery to woodcraft, artists and craftmakers will showcase their work, all of which will be for sale. There will also be an arts café serving home-made cakes and snacks.
The National Park Centre is staging an exhibition of abstract work by Skipton artist Susan Duffey.
Buckden Art Group will stage its 20th exhibition in the Village Institute from Saturday until next Sunday, September 5. The event will be open from 10am to 5.30pm daily. Admission is free, with a donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Thornton Hall Farm Country Park will host its third Barn Boogie next weekend. The event, which has a new name, Hayfever BB3, will take place next Saturday, September 4. Local band Red Confusion will perform along with Tyro and Vicky and the Big Combo, and there will be a guest appearance by X Factor performer DJ Chicken. Preparations have started for the 2011 pantomime. It will be a version of Cinderella, written by Steven Clark and choreographed by Fiona Spencer.

Grassington’s Penny Plain Theatre Company is performing its new summer mummers’ show at festivals across the North.
