Panto fun is heading for Craven – with Snow White, Robinson Crusoe, the Queen of Hearts, Little Red Riding Hood and Robin Hood all due to make appearances over the next few weeks.
Glusburn Youth Theatre takes to the stage next weekend with its version of Snow White.
The title role is played by Chloe Judge and the wicked queen by Madeline Lloyd. Hannah Cairns is again part of a comedy duo and is joined by Hannah Hutchinson, who is making her panto debut. Their performance as Bagabones and Claptrap promises plenty of laughs.
Teona Gott, who made her first panto appearance at the age of three and is now in her 11th production, plays Dippy, one of the seven dwarves.
The other dwarves are played by Amber Ward, Lydia Spencer, Sami Forsdyke, Ciara Fleming, Daisy Watkiss and Alana Willis.
The show opens at Glusburn Arts and Community Centre next Sunday, February 12, at 3pm and will be repeated on Monday, February 13, Thursday, February 16 and Friday, February 17 at 7pm and on Saturday, February 18 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets cost £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £20 for families (two adults and two children). They are on sale at Paws for Pet Supplies, Main Street, Cross Hills, or phone (01535) 634971 Addingham Pantomime Group will transport its audience to a desert island when it stages Robinson Crusoe in the village’s Memorial Hall.
Shows will be held next Friday, February 10, at 7.30pm, next Saturday at 1pm and 5pm, the following Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7.30pm and on Saturday, February 18, at 2pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £8 for adults, £6 for children and concessions, and are available from Jane Gregory on (01943) 831007. Tickets for the February 18 matinee have sold out.
Gargrave Pantomime Group has chosen The Queen of Hearts as its show.
It will be staged in the village hall on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 16, 17 and 18 at 7.15pm. There will also be a 2.15pm matinee on the Saturday.
Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for concessions and are available from Gargrave Newsagents or at the door.
Little Red Riding Hood gets the pantomime treatment in Ingleton.
Shows will be held at Ingleborough Community Centre from Wednesday, February 29, to Saturday, March 3, with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets are available at the community centre or telephone (015242) 41701 during office hours.
Robin Hood and his Merry Men are due to ride into Bentham, along with Maid Marian, Nanny Lakeber and the wicked Sheriff. Local children are among the cast, playing tower folk, animals and skeletons.
The production will be staged in the town hall from Wednesday, February 15, to Saturday, February 18. All seats cost £3.50 on the opening night and then £5.50 for adults and £3.50 for children for the other performances. Tickets are available from Temptations on Main Street, Bentham.
