Fifty dancers from Zanna Dennis’s community dance groups in High Bentham will be taking to the streets of Liverpool for a special performance.

They are taking part in the BIG Dance 2012 North West Link Up, celebrating the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Zanna Dennis has helped create the mass dance choreography, working with Jeanefer-Jean Charles, choreographer for the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony, Ludus Dance, Lisi Perry and 25 professional artists from the region.

Zanna said: “Our 50 local dancers include the Bentham Nu Moves street and contemporary dance group for ages 12 to 16 years, right through to the Mature Movers group for 60 years plus.

“All performers are now dancing their socks off in rehearsals, preparing to join with 1,200 other dancers from professionals to beginners, from the North West.”

The performance will take place next Sunday, July 15, for the BIG Dance 2012 Link Up at Liverpool One.

The dancers also performed in Preston when the Olympic torch passed through the city.
