Proms on the Farm returns for its ninth year this month.
The event will be staged at Sycamore Farm, Brunthwaite, Silsden, next Saturday, July 21.
Skelmanthorpe Brass Band – one of the oldest brass bands in the country – will play favourites from The Last Night of the Proms, accompanied by soloist Sarah Halstead.
Silsden’s For One Night Only group, formed for the inaugural Proms event back in 2003, will entertain with folk, ballads and country and western, while Herr Jen’s Concert Band promises to get everyone dancing.
As usual, the proceeds will be divided between Manorlands Hospice and Silsden Methodist Church.
“2012 is a very special year – we have celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, we have Euro 2012 and, of course, the Olympics are being held in our country. This year we hope the Proms on the Farm will be special too,” said the organisers. “We have a great line-up with music for everyone.”
The field will be open from 2pm to set up picnics, with the music starting at 7pm.
Tickets are £10 and can be purchased at Twiggs Newsagents, Kirkgate, Silsden. Awning space can be booked by phoning (01535) 654509.
